Chai Latte

Chai Latte

This recipe for a spicy chai latte will make you forget about Starbucks or any other coffee shop cup. The homemade chai is full of spice from ginger and black pepper with sweet notes of cinnamon, cloves, and other wonderful spices. It’s a perfect drink for a cold day or if you need to cool down in summer heat, we can easily make it an iced drink.

Chai Latte

I absolutely love chai latte and could have it almost every day, but I don’t want my wallet to cry by the end of each month as a cup from a coffee shop can be pricy….£3.60 to be precise. So, I figured I should brew my own and make it extra cheap in the comfort of my house.

Chai Latte

You can make it with any milk you like, plant-based or whole milk. I personally love it with coconut or almond milk which makes this recipe 100% vegan. Yes, my friends, it’s that simple. Make it as sweet and strong as you prefer by pouring in more or less of the chai brew. I usually do 2/3 of chai to 1/3 of milk, sprinkle some cinnamon on top, et voila!

Chai Latte

This recipe makes 4 large servings (430ml including milk). You can keep it in the fridge for up to 1 week. Let’s save some coins.
